Are your materials hypoallergenic/non-toxic?

• Founded by a physician, Maker's Grace is committed to offering jewelry that is good for your body and soul. All of our earrings use hypoallergenic sterling silver or gold-fill wire as the base of the design. We do not use any plastic, acrylic resin, nickel, cobalt or chromium in our jewelry. Nickel is the most common metal allergy causing contact rashes, so it is good to choose jewelry that is nickel-free. If is important to note that "hypoallergenic" is less likely to cause reaction, but those who are highly allergic to certain metals may still experience some reaction. If you are especially sensitive to copper, please be aware this is present in small amounts in sterling silver. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and forms the inner base of our 14/20 gold fill wire, however with proper care there is little risk of this layer making contact with the skin. We will always be transparent about our materials and name everything we used to make our pieces in the item listing.
